Introducing Gael! He is a young artist from Cabo who has absolutely thrived with sewing and selling aprons locally in Baja California Sur, Mexico. After only a year since Juan and other Zuggy artists visited his school to teach students how to sew, Gael has sold dozens of aprons and orders of peanut butter balls.

Our artist of the month is Isaiah!
Isaiah chose to support the Choices for Adult Learning (CAL) adult day program- the only of its kind in California! Designed to meet the unique needs of adults with significant behavioral and intellectual disabilities, this community-based program provides 2 staff for every 3 adults, offering more 1:1 support for each individual than received in a typical day program. This staffing flexibility allows CAL adults to develop micro-enterprises, make meaningful connections and build relationships with people in the community, and focus on functional skills that help them throughout their lives. CAL’s unique design helps individuals who have had a history of 1:1 support during their public school years; who have been unable to have their needs met in a traditional day program setting; or whose behavior needs preclude their placement in other adult day programs.
